Sanjay F. Gupta is an award-winning Director of Photography and Director with an illustrious career spanning feature films, music videos, commercials, and photography. He began his career as a freelance DOP and photographer, quickly becoming a sought-after name in India’s film and advertising industries.
His directorial debut, the feature film KARAM, received critical acclaim for its powerful narrative and striking visual style—earning praise for introducing a new cinematic language to Indian screens. Sanjay also pioneered a new visual aesthetic in Indian music videos, directing some of the country’s most iconic works.
He was nominated for Best Cinematography for the blockbuster Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, and has since contributed to numerous high-profile feature films, over 30 music videos, and 70+ commercials.
